This is a specialist course available to practitioners who work in a multi-agency setting with people who live in a Hoarded Home. Whilst it is not mandatory for the learner to have completed the Hoarding Awareness Course, the learner will need to have good knowledge of this very complex condition.
This session will be interactive offering the learner the opportunity to share their experiences of working in a multi-agency setting whilst learning what is required to manage a hoarding case. Collaboration and sharing resources will be just some of the creative thinking on the day.
Each hoarding case is unique and the support that can be provided will be tailored to the challenges of an individual situation. You will learn more about this, along with the complexities of hoarding, throughout the course. The focus is very much on a Supportive Intervention, how to adopt a strength-based approach, harness strengths and weaknesses within a multi-agency setting whilst mitigating the risks of enforced action and/or homelessness.
Delegates will be encouraged to contribute throughout the day in a fun and relaxed way, sharing knowledge and experience, what challenges they face and what steps they might take to overcome any barriers with creative problem solving. The trainer will contribute with his or her own experience and will share best practice from around the country & overseas.
To create the right online learning environment numbers attending this course are limited, please book early to avoid disappointment.
